Learning License Applying Process: The number of vehicle drivers in India. Everyone has to follow the rules made under the Motor Vehicles Act. Under motor vehicle rules, everyone in India is required to have a driving license to drive a vehicle. Challan is issued for driving without a driving license.
To get a driving license, you first have to get a learning license. Many people take help of broker for this. You have to pay more for getting a driving license from a broker. That is why instead of a broker, you can apply for the learning license yourself sitting at home. Let us tell you what is the process for this.
You can apply for learning license sitting at home
- To get a learning license at home, first of all you have to go to the official website of the Transport Ministry https://sarathi.parivahan.gov.in/. After this you will have to select your state. After this you will have to click on the option of Apply for Learner License. Here you have to click on the option of apply through your Aadhar card number. From this you will also have to select whether you will give the test sitting at home or by going to the RTO office.

- After this you will have to enter Aadhar card details and mobile number. Then you have to click on Generate OTP. After entering the OTP, you will have to click on the payment mode by clicking on the tick box below. After this you will have to watch a 10-minute tutorial video in which some instructions regarding driving will be given. After the video, OTP and password will be sent to your registered mobile number.

- After this, you will have to fill your form and start giving the test. During this, you will have to keep the front camera or webcam of your mobile phone on. To pass the test, you will have to answer 6 out of 10 questions correctly. If you fail in the test then you will be given a chance to take the test again. But for this you will have to pay a fee of Rs 50, if you pass the test. So you will get the learner license in PDF form only. From which you can download and get it printed.
Will have to go to RTO office for permanent driving license
But if after this you want a permanent license, then for this you will have to go to the RTO office and give a driving test there, only after that you will be given a permanent license.
